National Weather Service confirms tornado in Jackson Co., WV

Kenna, WV - (WTAP) The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado touched down in Jackson County, WV on Thursday morning.

It happened near Kenna at 5:07am.

The tornado was on the ground for about a minute, along Blackberry Road.

There were two injuries reported.

The tornado produced 90 MPH winds, leaving a 100-yard path of damage that was 20 yards wide.

The storm also flipped a trailer and snapped several trees.
