Rio Olympics: What channel is Bravo on Time Warner, DirecTV, and Comcast?

Rio Olympics

The Rio Olympics are going to dominate all of NBC’s channels for the next few weeks, and yes, that includes channels that usually don’t show sports, like Bravo.

According to NBC’s official Rio Olympics coverage guide, Bravo will be the place to go for Olympic tennis. Coverage will begin on Saturday, August 6, and conclude on Sunday, August 14. The men’s singles final will be on the 14th; the women’s singles final will be on August 13.

From the 6th to the 10th, Bravo will air just over 12 hours of content, starting at 9:30 a.m. ET and concluding at 10 p.m. ET. For the final four days, the channel will show eight hours, starting at 11am ET and ending at 7 p.m. ET.
So, where can you find Bravo and its HD channel?

For Comcast, the simplest way to find out is to go to the channel lineup page and input your address. Generally, Bravo’s SD channel tends to be a channel number below 100, while the HD channel is buried in the 200s or higher.

For DirecTV, this listing allows you to input your zip code to get local listings. DirecTV looks to put Bravo’s SD channel far lower; one listing has it as far down as channel 237.

Time Warner defaults to showing the New York City local listings on its page, but you can still input your zip code and choose your cable provider to get accurate local listings. It appears that TWC operates on the same general principles as Comcast.
