Former Tulsa dentist faces sentencing for money laundering

Wayne Scott Harrington faces sentencing for money laundering charges.
Harrington was forced to shut down his practice after allegations his office put patients at risk of contracting HIV and Hepatitis.

The former Tulsa dentist forced to shut down his practice over “dirty” utensils learns his sentencing in a money laundering case Thursday.

Wayne Scott Harrington closed his Tulsa practice in 2013 after patients learned they were possibly exposed to Hepatitis and HIV.
In April 2016, Harrington was indicted on money laundering charges; he eventually pleaded guilty to those charges.
He could face up to 10 years in prison, $250,000 in fines or other punishments.
He learns his sentencing Thursday. FOX23 will be in the courtroom.
FOX23 spoke with an attorney for two of Harrington’s former patients. They want to know what happened and say Harrington has not taken responsibility for his actions.
