Moto X (2016) with dual-camera setup leaked online
As per the listing, the smartphone codenamed Motorola XT1650, will be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and will feature a 5.5-inch QHD display with 2540x1440 pixels resolution. Under-the-hood, the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM is expected to power the handset. Adreno 530 GPU will be handling the graphics inside the unannounced handset.
On the storage front, the Moto X (2016) will house 32GB of inbuilt storage. The highlight of the handset is its dual-camera setup. According to the listing, the smartphone will include a 12MP and 20MP rear cameras, both of which can record videos in UHD resolution. If true, the device will be the first from Motorola to sport a dual-camera setup. There will be a 5MP front-facing camera as well.
Motorola recently said that although it has launched the Moto Z lineup that share largely the same specifications as the Moto X series, it will not be scrapping the Moto X lineup as both the range offer an altogether different experience to customers.
However, according to analysts, since most of smartphones in Moto X series feature specifications similar to that of the new Moto Z and Moto Z Force, it may be difficult for Moto X devices to find a market. This also means that the X series might get relegated to the mid-range segment, as the new 'flagship' title has now been taken over by Moto Z line-up.
